Join us for an exhilarating hike through the captivating landscapes of Snowdonia as we conquer the majestic Dinorwic Quarry and Elidir Fach! Prepare to be awestruck by the rugged beauty of this iconic mountain range and immerse yourself in an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Our journey begins at Padarn Country Park car park, where we’ll gather outside the Slate Museum, and set off navigating challenging terrain and ascending nearly 3500 feet in elevation. Brace yourself for a tough but rewarding hike filled with breathtaking vistas and awe-inspiring scenery.

As we traverse the rugged trails, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the historic Dinorwic Quarry, marveling at its ancient ruins and learning about its fascinating past. Take in panoramic views of the serene lakes below and soak up the tranquility of the Snowdonia wilderness.

While we’ll be on the doorstep of Snowdon, our hike won’t take us to the summit, allowing us to enjoy the stunning surroundings without the crowds. After our adventure, we’ll reconvene at Padarn Country Park, where you can unwind.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet likeminded hikers & adventurers from across the country, and enjoy a scenic social trek as part of a professionally organised event with qualified mountain guides.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY – (Car parking may be limited so it’s important to arrive on time)

Walk distance/Duration:

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Challenging – come prepared for a difficult trek with plenty of steep incline. As always, being physially trained will help you enjoy the experience more.

The route is 13km long and should take up to 7 hours.

You should expect to be finished by 5pm.

For those craving a delicious meal after our hike, we recommend visiting Allport’s fish and chip shop on Llanberis High Street for a taste of traditional British cuisine, which you can enjoy whilst sitting at Lake Padarn just behind the high street. Or, indulge in flavorful halal Bangladeshi and Indian dishes at Spice of Llanberis, located nearby.

KIT LIST

Hiking boots with ankle support recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle & packed lunch. You will be sent a full kit list via email.
