Hafren Forest

We’re heading to Mid Wales for the very first time, and you’re invited to join us for a peaceful, midweek escape into nature.

This scenic route through Hafren Forest offers a unique blend of woodland trails, open views, riverside paths, and the area’s iconic wooden boardwalk; a standout feature you won’t find on our other hikes.

At 616 metres above sea level, this walk isn’t about conquering peaks, it’s about slowing down, connecting, and taking in the wild, often-overlooked beauty of this part of Wales.

If you’re looking for a quieter adventure surrounded by forest, water, and good company, this one’s for you.

Difficulty level: Easy – suitable for beginners with moderate fitness

Expect a mix of forest trails, riverside paths, open viewpoints and the well-loved boardwalk section.

KIT LIST

Hiking boots or trail shoes recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle (at least 1.5L), and packed lunch. A full kit list will be emailed to you.
