Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Peak District, but this route is about more than just reaching the top, it’s about experiencing one of the UK’s most iconic landscapes in a way that’s accessible, rewarding, and shared with a strong community.

Starting from Edale, we gradually climb into open moorland and onto the Kinder plateau, where wide views, rugged terrain and a real sense of space open up around you. This is a proper day outdoors, away from the noise and into nature.

While this hike is graded easy–moderate and is open to beginners, it’s important to understand that even “easier” mountain days still involve physical effort. Expect steady climbs, uneven terrain and a full day on your feet.

You don’t need prior hiking experience, but you should feel comfortable being active for several hours and be prepared for changing conditions. Our team and guides are there to support you throughout, and as always, you’ll move at your own pace.

KIT LIST

Hiking boots with good ankle support recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, warm layers, water bottle (at least 1.5–2L), and packed lunch.
