Loughrigg Fell & Rydal Cave

Join Muslim Hikers for an incredible day of hiking and socializing in the beautiful Lake District! We invite you to explore Loughrigg Fell and Rydal Cave, a stunning circular hike from Ambleside offering panoramic views of Windermere and the surrounding peaks.

As part of your hike experience, we’ll be meeting at the fantastic Force Café in Ambleside, which will serve as our base for the day. Enjoy a pre-hike social with a hot buffet breakfast, or unwind with a post-hike refreshment in this welcoming space, right in the heart of the Lake District.

Hike Overview:

• Distance: Approx. 9 miles / 14 km
• Total Ascent: Approx. 1,300 feet / 396 meters
• Duration: 5-6 hours
• Difficulty Level: Moderate – Suitable for all abilities, but being physically prepared will help you enjoy the experience more.

This is a fantastic chance to meet like-minded hikers and enjoy a scenic social trek as part of a professionally organised event with qualified mountain guides. All are welcome regardless of religious background or ability. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a first-time walker, we invite you to join us!

SCHEDULE:

• 7:45 AM: Arrival for those joining for the hot buffet breakfast at Force Café.
• 8:45 AM: Arrival for hike-only participants.
• 9:15 AM: Final check-in and pre-hike briefing.
• 09:30 AM: Hike begins.
• 3.30 – 4:00 PM: Return to Force Café for post-hike social.
• 4:00 PM onwards: Optional post-hike social at Force Café. Order Pizzas, food & drink from the menu

MEETING POINT:

Force Café, Ambleside, LA22 9DJ
Please meet outside the café for check-in. The café will be open for breakfast before the hike and for our post-hike social.

TICKET OPTIONS:

1. Hike Only (£27.50): Join us for the hike from Ambleside to Loughrigg Fell and back.
2. Hike + Hot Buffet Breakfast (£40): Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast at Force Café before the hike. Arrive at 7:45 AM for a pre-hike social.

KIT LIST

Hiking boots with ankle support recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle & packed lunch. You will be sent a full kit list via email.

YOUR TICKET INCLUDES:

– A guided hike, led by professional mountain guides

– Stewardship from Muslim Hikers – we are here to offer support and advice before, during and after your event.

– Dedicated Event Whatsapp group to network and for getting help with transport (link will be in your Eventbrite confirmation email)
