Berwyn Mountains | 10km | Approx. 5–6 hours | Highest Point: 830m | Elevation Gain: ~760m

Grade: Moderate–Challenging

Join Muslim Hikers as we discover one of Wales’ hidden gems, combining one of the UK’s tallest waterfalls with a rewarding mountain summit in the beautiful Berwyn Mountains.

Starting from the picturesque Tan-y-Pistyll Café, nestled at the foot of the magnificent Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, we’ll begin our circular route through peaceful valleys before climbing onto the Berwyn ridge towards the summit of Cadair Berwyn (830m).

Often overlooked in favour of Snowdonia’s more famous peaks, the Berwyn Mountains offer a quieter mountain experience, with expansive views, open ridgelines and a true sense of escape.

We’ll enjoy stunning views throughout the day before returning via the top of Pistyll Rhaeadr, where we’ll pause to admire the waterfall from above before descending back to the café.

While this hike is graded moderate–challenging, there are no technical sections, scrambling or river crossings. Participants should, however, be prepared for sustained uphill walking, uneven terrain and several hours on their feet.

As always, our hikes are fully guided, inclusive and open to anyone looking to experience the outdoors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
