Thor’s Cave, Peak District | 13.5km | Approx. 6 hours | Highest Point: 350m | Elevation Gain: ~430m

Grade: Easy–Moderate

Join Muslim Hikers for an autumn hike exploring Thor’s Cave and the beautiful countryside of the Peak District.

Located in the Manifold Valley, Thor’s Cave is one of the Peak District’s most distinctive natural landmarks, with its huge cave entrance sitting high above the surrounding valley.

Our 13.5km route will take us from Hulme End through the surrounding countryside and towards Thor’s Cave, with a mixture of rolling trails, woodland, valleys and classic Peak District scenery along the way.

While this hike is graded easy–moderate and is suitable for beginners, participants should still expect several hours on their feet, uphill sections and uneven terrain. With approximately 430m of total ascent throughout the route, a reasonable level of fitness will help you enjoy the experience.

As always, our hikes are fully guided, inclusive and open to anyone looking to experience the outdoors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
