WODI WODI HIKE – AUSTRALIA

We are so excited to announce our first ever Muslim Hikers event in Australia.

In partnership with Arc’teryx Australia, we invite you to join us for a community hike along the beautiful Wodi Wodi and Forest tracks on Dharawal Country.

This special event will be co-hosted by UK Arc’teryx Ambassador Haroon Mota, founder of Muslim Hikers and the Active Inclusion Network, together with Sabrina Allam, a Sydney-based adventurer and long-standing member of the Muslim Hikers community.

Muslim Hikers is a global grassroots movement using the outdoors to build community, celebrate diversity, and create spaces where everyone feels they belong. While rooted in Muslim representation, our hikes are open to all, and we can’t wait to share this milestone moment with you.

THE WALK

• Route: Wodi Wodi Track & Forest Walk

• Distance: 7km | 400m elevation gain

• Difficulty: Moderate

• Duration: 3–4 hours at a casual pace

• Start Point: 2/109 Lawrence Hargrave Dr, Stanwell Park NSW 2508

• Meet Time: 09:00 | Trek starts: 10:00

This stunning route climbs up through the Illawarra Escarpment, weaving through forest trails, creeks, and unique flora, with striking views towards Stanwell Park Beach. Along the way, Arc’teryx partner Dan Jee will share guidance on Minimal Trace practices, helping us keep our impact light.

We’ll finish back at Stanwell Park Beach with light refreshments and shared conversation.

KIT LIST

Hiking boots or sturdy shoes, rucksack, waterproof jacket, extra layers, minimum 2L of water, packed food/snacks, and sun protection.

TRANSPORT

Participants are responsible for making their own way to the meeting point at Stanwell Park.

Parking is available nearby.
Stanwell Park Station is approx. 10 minutes’ walk to the start point.
After booking, you’ll receive access to the event WhatsApp group, where you can connect with others to arrange car-sharing or lifts.
