Muslim Hikers Complete Second Annual Mount Toubkal Expeditions with 80 Participants from Around the World

Muslim Hikers has successfully completed its second annual Mount Toubkal expeditions, bringing together almost 80 participants across two back-to-back treks up North Africa’s highest peak (4,167m).

Following last year’s historic first international expedition, this year’s return to Morocco marked another major milestone, not only in scale, but in the diversity, energy and global reach of the group.

Participants travelled from across the world to join the climbs, including Australia, New York, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, the UAE and across the UK, making this one of the most internationally represented adventures we’ve hosted to date.

A Week of Community, Challenge and Connection

Across two treks, a multi-day adventure and an intensive weekend ascent, hikers navigated cold alpine mornings and steep summit pushes, supported by experienced mountain guides and the Muslim Hikers team.

The expeditions were filled with moments of resilience, teamwork and reflection, with participants forming strong bonds over shared challenge, shared purpose, and shared faith. From dawn prayers on the slopes to laughter around meal tables in Imlil, the spirit of the group carried through every step of the journey.

Charity Right UK Fundraisers Raise Over £35,000

Several participants also chose to fundraise for Charity Right UK, a humanitarian organisation providing school meals to vulnerable children around the world.

Together, the group raised over £35,000, supporting school meal programmes, including emergency food support for children in Gaza, Palestine.

This powerful act of collective effort added deeper meaning to the climb, reinforcing the Muslim Hikers ethos: adventure with purpose.

Looking Ahead to 2026 – Toubkal Trips Now Live

With the success of this year’s expeditions, we are delighted to announce that our 2026 Mount Toubkal trips are now live, offering both a multi-day trek and a weekend challenge option once again.

These trips continue to grow in demand each year and are expected to sell out quickly.

The momentum continues.
In just a few days, the Muslim Hikers team will fly to Nepal with a group of 30 participants to begin our next international challenge, a 11-day trek to Everest Basecamp.

This marks another significant step in our mission to make mountain environments and global outdoor experiences accessible to a more diverse range of people and communities.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who travelled, trained and took part in our 2025 Toubkal expeditions, to our local partners in Morocco, to our fundraising trekkers, and to the broader community who continue to support and uplift our work.
