Over £250,000 Raised This Ramadan: The Power of Movement, Faith, and Community
Active Inclusion Network Community Raises Over £250,000 in Ramadan Giving
This Ramadan, the Active Inclusion Network community came together in a way that was nothing short of extraordinary. Through purposeful movement, shared values, and a united drive to do good, our network raised over £250,000 to support those in need, funding over 500,000 school meals for children across the world.
Whether it was runners completing daily 5Ks during the Ramadan Challenge, marathoners pushing through long miles while fasting, or mountain trekkers preparing for world-class climbs — every step made a difference.
Powered by Purpose
This incredible impact is the result of a collective effort from across our projects:
-
£40,000+ raised through the Ramadan Challenge, as individuals walked, ran, and hiked daily while fasting.
-
Over £55,000 raised by our London Marathon runners.
-
Ongoing fundraising continues from participants training for Ben Nevis, Toubkal, Everest Basecamp, Kilimanjaro, and global marathons in Berlin, Chicago, Sydney, and Tokyo.
All of this has been in partnership with Charity Right UK, our long-standing humanitarian partner committed to tackling hunger and keeping children in education across Palestine, Sudan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and more.
A Word from Charity Right CEO, Asim Lone:
“The power of community is what drives Charity Right, and our partnership with Haroon Mota and the Active Inclusion Network exemplifies this at its best. As our ambassador, Haroon has not only championed the cause — he’s inspired a movement. This Ramadan alone, his community has raised an incredible £250,000, enough to provide 500,000 school meals. That’s half a million moments where a child stays in school, because one community chose to act.”
A Legacy of Giving
When our founder Haroon Mota stepped away from a professional fundraising career to establish Active Inclusion Network, he didn’t walk away from his commitment to giving back. In fact, since joining Charity Right UK as an ambassador two years ago, Haroon has helped galvanise a community that’s now raised over three quarters of a million pounds in charitable giving.
From marathon start lines to mountain summits, our community continues to raise not just funds — but awareness, hope, and opportunity.
